Predefined Heroku Dashboard
If you're completely new to Heroku logging, be sure to read our guide for beginners.
Heroku router logs can drive amazing value
That's why we at Coralogix decided to make it easier for you to analyze them. From now on, with a click of a button, each of your Heroku router logs is going to be automatically parsed as JSON, allowing you to easily view its parameters using graphs, filters and other visualizations.
To get you started, we went ahead and created your first Dashboard that is included within the Heroku extension package along with a set of Heroku parsing rules and a set of predefined Heroku alerts. What you will need to do to get those is go to Coralogix Extension Packages and deploy the Heroku extension package.
How can I view my router logs dashboard?
Simply click Kibana on your Coralogix top bar => select Dashboard on the left menu => click "Open" => choose "Heroku router logs dashboard" => Enjoy :-) **If Kibana doesn't load well, then it's probably a cookie issue, simply re-login to your account and try to reopen it.
JSON log format is great for many other reasons
Check out our automatic JSON parsing tutorial and learn how to visualize your parameters or how to turn them into columns and filters. In addition, JSON formatted logs allow a much more flexible alert definition, see how you can use it on our User-defined alerts tutorial.
